How do I remove plug ins from the drop down box inside of Cakewalk (PA8)? I know how to uninstall, but sometimes the plug in still appears as though I could select and use it.

Maybe (just thought of this) I should delete the .dll file for that plug-in?

Anyway, the computer's at home so I'll have to wait to try any suggestions:(

Sorry to say, but I've had some bad experiences with this program. Or it could be the effects that I had installed. Or maybe my system was screwed, who knows... ;)

I installed some demo-plugins from dB-Audioware. Uninstalled them. They still were present (but unusable) in the effects menu. Tried the program mentioned above, they didn't go away. They even turned up twice per plugin. Darn, that was annoying!

Well... sorry to hear that moskus, where did you use it ? U-571 ? It does a good job in older Cakey (...he mentioned PA8). I dunno if it has bugs on newer Cakey...

Used it with PA9... and I say it could be my computer back then.

I haven't tried it with ACKUS, so I wouldn't know how it works now. I found it some a couple of years ago on a ComputerMusic (the magazine) cover-CD. I'm pretty shure it's the same program.

Well..., maestro_dmc you can try it... and post the result here... hope it works just fine. Hey moskus, ain't it late night in Norway ? why don't you get some sleep ? :D You'll turn orange if you don't... :D

It's 01:20 ... I'm getting up at 06:45... :(

Better go to bed and watch my color...

:D

I've used the DX Uninstaller and it has always worked great for me. Don't know why it didn't work for you, moskus.

I haven't used it much lately, as I don't download nearly as many plugins as I used to. I've pretty much found the ones I like, and I just use them.
