I want to have a voice that goes up and up in pitch, much like when you bend a guitar string. I wonder how can I do this. I know I can pitch shift something to a specific pitch, but how do I change gradually from one pitch to another?
I have Protools LE.

but all the PS that I saw (like the Protools one) do fixes shifts, not something that goes climbing and climbing. You see?

Autotune, for instance has a graphic mode in addition to a "round to nearest pitch" mode. You just draw in the frequency envelope you want. Of course, the more extreme you go, the less natural it will sound.

Cheapest solution? Try singing the part the way you want it to sound!

You know I'm cheap, so that's not the problem! The thing is that I want to create a special effect, like a voice that goes up and up in pitch, that kind of thing.

Voice bending

I actually needed to do this once....please don't ask why...
quick & dirty, I ran my Beta 57 by way of an xlr to 1/4" adaptor through my
expression pedal (Digitech RP200). Selected the pre-set pitch shift or bend setting, adjusted the parameters, and went for it. pitch bend was controlled entirely through the pedal. Returning the pedal to the complete off (heel down) position, I was back to normal uneffected pitch.
Worked for me, but like I said..it was a one time effect that I particularly needed.
Just my Thots....
Good Luck
