How do I add reverb to a vocal track...

in Vegas Pro or cool edit? Any tips on modifying an existing
vocal track? Thanks
 
In Vegas you would do this by first inserting an fx bus down in the mixer panel (right click -> Insert FX bus). Then right click on the track panel where you want to insert the reverb and then select 'insert envelope -> FX#' where # is the number of the fx bus you want to use. Then you can modify the envelope as you see fit.

You could play around in Sound Forge (or your wave editor of choice), applying compression and various other effects to get an idea of what they'll do for ya. Word of caution - ALWAYS keep a copy of the original wave file in case you screw something up.
