how come panning is backwards in logic pro7.1?

just noticed on a session im working on, things sound a bit funny...checked the master fader and for some reason it was in mono.....? ok, switched to stereo mode, now my panning is backwards. left is right and right is left.. what the hell

Try swapping your speakers round.

Im using Logic pro 7.2 and have had no problems

switch the Left/Right out puts from your computer to your monitors. lol

its only in logic though, everything has been correct for the past 2 years, all of a sudden in this one project....things are messed up

You probably have your outputs assigned wrong, wherever you set them up in logic. I use cubase, so it is layed out different, but there is a place where you set up all your inputs and outputs. Check there.
