What up peeps. I use FLStudio with MPD16 and Reaon with a Korg MIDI Controller. Yeah, i'm more on the computer side for producing cuz I got other shit to get with my money insted of spending thousands on hardware. Anyway, I was wondering which sound card I would need to hook up some Alies studio monitors I got. Do I need a mixer, or is it possible to have a very good sound card, or both? I have no experience in hooking up stuff except for USB stuff (for example MIDI controllers). I would really appereciate a reply. Thanks guys peace. (Oh yeah I for got. Just incase, these are my specs: WinXP Pro, AMD Atholon 2200 XP, 1.8Ghz, 512 RAM, Soundblaster Live! soundcard).

Get a 1/8" stereo jack to 2 1/4" mono jacks splitter cable and plug them into the speaker out on your soundcard.

I'm guessing they're powered monitors.

Alesis, right?

dude, you need an amp for those monitors. Plugging them into your soundcard isnt going to do jack.

ok. i didnt buy them yet, but i was wonderin what i needed. but idk. what studio monitor do yall recommend?
