How can I hear what I'm playing?!

So I have an echo gina, right? And I am using that as my input card, and I want to just run the line out into my stereo, so I have my soundblaster hooked up.

I open cakewalk home studio 2K2, and I can record. I hear it when I playback, but I do not hear it when I am actually playing it. My old setup was a bit more simple, as I was only using one card, and I could always hear my guitar through my line in on the soundblaster.

Any ideas?

OH! As I wrote this, I had an idea, and I think it'll be my workaround for now...

I ran my headphone out of my preamp and into the line in on the SB, so I can still record with the fidelity of the gina, but I can keep my simple listen back system working!! yay!

You should be able to monitor outputs thru the echo. No need for the SB.

Well, my issue is that I have a long 1/8" cord running from my computer to my stereo, and I don't have any speakers connected to my computer other than those, so I have to have an 1/8" out to whatever I'm doing.

When I move I'll just use the SPDIF out, I'm sure.
