need help!

I wanna achieve this kind of Vocal Effect.
please tell me whats really happening in there?
is it a Chorus Type Effect or a Vocal Track Duplicated and Pan Left and Right and delays on it?

the Pre-Chorus of this song. the lines of Bruno Mars before the Chorus.
the part that says:

there's no much nonsense
it's on my conscience
i'm thinking baby i should get it out
and i don't wanna sound redundant
but i was wondering if there was something that you wanna know
(that you wanna know)
but never mind that we should let it go (we should let it go)
cause we don't wanna be a t.v episode (t.v episode)
and all the bad thoughts just let them go (go, go, go, go)

reply is highly appreciated!;)

It sure sounds like multi tracked vocals to me, don't hear a ton of effects. Course I could only make it to chorus one, if there's something different later I never got to it.

Just an FYI, Bruno Mars is singing the melody, he's not the rapper. You seem a little confused. Bruno Mars part doesn't have really any audible effect on it besides some pitch correction.

B.O.B sounds like he double tracked his rap and has some one shot type things with a delay on it.

Try multi tracking mate, sing the same piece twice and put it onto 2 tracks. Not sure what it'd do if you simply set up 2 mics and sang once, but then with digital there's nothing to lose. Don't like it, get rid of it.

If you'd like to sound like Whitney Houston or Mariah Carrey you do the same thing, only record the vocal line 10 or 20 times. Just remember if you go live you'll have to sing over a backing track.

Two different takes, panned jusssssssssst a bit outside, tiny bit o' reverb, and crushed with compression. You won't get the same thickness if you just use 2 different mics on the same take. Same goes for guitars, but we aren't talking about those now are we.
