Bit of a noob
I currently only have one Firewire port on my PC, and that's through my Soundblaster Audigy card which I was hoping to remove if and when I decide on a breakout box. Can I run an M-Audio Firewire 410 through the Soundblaster Card? If not I'll go for the OmniStudio USB (done a lot of research, it's down to those 2)
Or, can I add a another Firewire port to my system? It's a fairly new system; P4 (Northwood) w/ HT (3.00GHz, 1MB L2 cache, 800MHz FSB), Dell bog standard motherboard.
