Hi.

Here's the way with the most control.

In your DAW, highlight the section you want to pre-repeat and follow whatever protocol makes a copy ( either unique copy or "image" copy )

Now. Create a new empty track and move your cursor to the desired amount of time before the initial phrase and paste it. You need to set your ruler and snapping to beats and measures and make sure you have the correct session tempo set for the song.

In this instance the section is one beat. It seems tricky because its on the upbeat but its still one beat in total length.

Once you have repeated these move and paste steps to your satisfaction, you can now process the track with whatever FX you like. This track has a dynamic eq happening on it.

No dramas.

Check this out. Its a visual representation of "the stutter" except the creator has offset the repeated sections behind the beat rather than in front.

Its a lot of fun :)
