How about a Summer Rumble?

Here's what I got so far....about 2 minutes. I really blow at lead, but had to try. I'll give ya teh file if you want to use any of it.

I did a couple takes for this last night, but I didn't even mix 'em down and bring them to work today....
Maybe I'll do that tonight even though they are rather.....harmonically adventurous?....uhhhhh....modal?.....ermmm.......not really always in key. Yeah, that's it.

Do you ever listen to something like this and somehow hear several different keys or modes really working with it and sounding maybe kinda bold, but upon re-listening it sounds way too wierd? Yeah, that's what happened.

I'll post something tomorrow. :p

I think you've got some neat ideas too, Dogman.
You can tell that you just let it rip and have some fun, while people like me sit around and think about it too much. Good for you Dog. :D

Hey dogman, just wanted to say I dug yours as well.Your tone is cool and it flows pretty well with the groove.
I've been kinda lurking on this thread...I messed with the jam a bit but I'm kinda like metalhead28 on this,kinda thought my playing was too noodely and kinda not in key at times..really enjoyed grooving on it though,kinda had me playing differently than I have lately which is cool cause my playing has been in a bit of a rut.I think I'll put something up later today.

Ok...you asked for it :D ...sorry in advance for the noodles, missed key changes,and rambling guitar :p ...this is an awesome groove to jam on tho' and I really dug playing with it!The only way I could post it back here is by uploading it to my soundclick site... here 'tis:

Okay, here's my submission.

I combined the two takes that I had, and I added a little harmonized part in the middle. I also faded out the end of the song becasue I had nothing for it.
I like it more listening to it today, the wierdness seems more suitable maybe. :)

 
nice job man. I like yours the best. You definately are one of the best players here. That's your v amp right? What settings did you use? My favorite for solos is the custom high gain with cab number 10. Do you practice guitar a lot? Or have you at one point? Or just play around?
