Emeric,

This is a nice tune. Definitely one that deserves a listen.

This could fit on a lot of different stations.

Keep up the good work.

What a cool tune! I love the vocals and harmonies. The song structure is really cool as well. All the little touches you added really worked. Sounds like a keeper to me.

very good

your acoustic guitar sound is amazing. How do you record them. I am new here and I was told to check out your stuff, thanks Crawdad. You must be the big E! that I read about. Cool. There is a beachboys quality to your vocal and harmonies.

Nice work. You have your own sound which I respect a lot. It's hard to have your own sound any more.

All the vox sounded great. No complaints on the mix.

Fix the drums ;) :)

Seriously kick-ass tunes, here! John Mayer-ish... main riff built around maj7... very coool...

You, macle, and Erland... same talent level... songwriting level... the three kings...

Great job and *****

Nice attention to detail. Lot's of little perks here. The solo guitar could use a bit more bite in the highs. Love the off-time rhythm guit. Good vox, and harmonies. A bit Lennon-ish in spots, if you don't mind the comparison. I also like the layering. Love the cymbal roll at the beginning. Great structure and lots of aural interest. I, personally, really like the piano parts.

Mix is good to me other than maybe a tiny bit more highs in the guitar solo and your vocals... and I mean a TINY bit more high in the vocals, just to separate them from the rest of the lower-mid instruments.

And, of course, I, like most others here, hate the weird drum thing at the end. :-) Good drumming overall, though. Sure doesn't sound MIDI. If it is, I hate you (and what drum machine/program are you using?). LOVE the ride cymbal transition in that one ride-cymbal-transition spot before the guitar solo!

Overall, one of my favorite "pop" songs I've heard on this site. I'm gonna keep this one. Why can't we hear more shit like this on the radio?! Maybe I'd actually turn it on once in a while.

Thanks for the music.

dobro: I agree about the vocals at the start. Something is indistinct about them, some volume might help. I would of just played straight through but I messed up the beat. I can either splice something together or retrack it. Thanks for the feedback.

sloop: Thanks.

SLuiCe: I'd be interested in that to. I have a bit tweaking room left to make it a bit better fidelity wise. I get what your saying though.

Village Idiot: The hi-hat was deliberate there, perhaps to loud eh? Thanks for checking the tune out Douggie.

Toki987: The rhythm acoustics is the basis of the whole song. It started out as a strumming technique to create a pseudo delay sound by strumming, muting and controlling the dynamics. It may as well be a song because I haven't found anywhere else to incorporate that technique yet. Thanks Toki.

musical5: I wish I could play drums to! I'm a bit of hack but occasionally I can hold the beat... just not through a whole song. :) Yep vocals could use a bit more presence. Thanks for listening.

GT: Thanks GT, glad you liked it.

David Artis: I guess the style is open enough that it could fit a few genres. I don't think in terms of radio play, since well, ya know. Appreciate the listen David.

ashulman: Thanks for the listen.

songbird: The acoustic was double tracked and mic'd with (I think) and MXL V67G in the typical 12 - 18" pointing at the 12 - 16th fret range. I angle it towards the headstock sometimes, other times towards the bridge. I never listened to The Beach Boys much, but get their tunes stuck in my head from time to time. Thanks for checking it out songbird.

skids: Drums will be fixed, appreciate the listen.

participant: Thanks.

PiltdownMan: The lead guitar is a bit murky isn't it? I'll try some EQ to get it to sit a bit better. I'd like to pin the timing screwups on MIDI but it's an acoustic kit with an imperfect drummer. I never got into drum machines or MIDI too much. Yeah that drum bit at the end isn't too popular! Thanks for the feedback PiltdownMan.

I've gotten lots of feedback here, time for this ship to sink.

Thanks all.

I love the acoustic sound, nice mix with the electric too.
Vocals are great as always.

I dig the sparse bass, nice touch.
Sweet piano.

Really interesting production, definitly keeps you listening.

Cool tune,
Pete

AWESOME MAN, AWESOME!!!
I love that acoustic sound and the guitar solo was perfect. I love those little synth like effects on the right side way off in the distance. Man I LOVE it!!!

I'VE GOT BLISTERS ON ME FINGERS!!! Dr Winston O Boogie

Cool tune indeed!

Already on the 4th time thru...

I think you could have developed that lead a few more measures (for each tone variation).

I like that synth noodle going on way back in the mix ~2:33.

Very Grateful Dead!! :D

Dude, I talk to you almost every day and you didn't say anything about a new tune posting? wtf?   :D ;) :p

Sounds great. As I've said before, your creativity is genious.
