A tune I started a few years ago. Added some parts to it today.

It's an idea.

I had something else to say but I forgot what it was.

Oh yeah, the drums go to hell a bit at the end.

Band members: me

Anyway, like it, hate it. Any feedback always appreciated.

Eminemeric!

This of course is nothing like that monkey. Just trying to be funny. :)

Awesome song! Overall it sounds on my monitors like it could use some high highs for some air. But it's a nitpick that should only be considered if it's echoed by others.

Really great song man. Don't take this the wrong way, because it's a really good recording, but I would LOVE to hear this done by pros. It's creative, well performed, melodically interesting, and just generally sweet. You have a terrific voice too.

OK, another spin...(it's already in the Emeric folder..)

I just wanted to listen again that time. I'll leave anything else up to the nitpickers. Nice job man.

A very nice pop tune that turns psychotic and then reverts again!

Well done.

Your voice reminded me of Gilbert O'Sullivan when you double tracked it in parts. Nice work there.

As for the drums getting a little weird near the end; I wouldn't worry about that too much as the song demonstrates that it is not going to be a typical formula tune anyway so, no biggie there.

The over all mix sounded well balance on my speakers. Nothing jumped out at me at all to say "wrong" or, "fix that".

Nice track!:)

This has the Emeric signature all over it. Everything was very nicely done. Other than that drum thing near the end, I wouldn't change anything. Always good to hear a tune from you on a Sunday morning.

cool song.. nice vocals! I agree with Sluices comments about the high end.. wouldn't have minded more guitar and less piano solo stuff..

I'm surprised you would leave that drum thing at the end.. it stuck out a lot to me..

I would agree with the high end as well. It sounds a little too boomy without the highs in there, but it does sound very warm.....so I wouldn't sacrafice the warmth for the highs if that's what it comes down too......

very nice

I do not agree with any of the above except that I dig the tunage in a big way..... :D

the bass seems buried...the lead guit at 1:36 should be stoked (bring the acoustic guit down at this point as well) and wail...

snare seems poppy to me...cymbals sound real good...
needs kick and toms....

Vox and harmony vox are simply outstanding....
piano parts are awesome
great song man.....
signature tunage for sure .....very cool ;)

Excellent vocals.

I agree that just a hint of kick would really perfect this track.

Good job, man!

Nice pop on the snare, sounds better in the mix when you are singing...might of been a hair loud otherwise..fuck I don't know:D Your drum playing is getting better, not that it was ever bad..but you know:) What happened to PLANT? Hell everything sounds excellent emeric! Nice song!*****

NICE VOX BROTHER

Great back vocals

Cool arrangement.

Love the guitars piano.

Very professional sounding.

What can I say...

Down loading & dropping 5.

SLuiCe: Thanks for checking it out. I think I know what you mean about the highs, it isn't a bright sounding recording. As for getting it done by pro's, you mean everything or the recording? :)

The Ghost of FM: Not familiar with Gilbert O'Sulivan, what band does he play in? I checked out a few of your tunes the other day but didn't comment - cool stuff!

twist: Thanks!

Pedullist: Good!

B.SABBATH: The piano and lead guitar parts are what I added most recently, everything else I recorded... don't think it was last winter, think it was the one before - can't remember. I don't like that drum screw up at the end, I was starting to fall off the beat and did that snare thing in frustration. If I ever get the drums set back up in here I may consider redoing the whole drum track. Thanks for the feedback Sam.

powderfinger: I rolled off quite a bit of highs on the electric guitars. The acoustics I think are contributing most to the boomyness followed by the quite loud, faderwise, but almost imperceptable bass line! Thanks for listening.

joro: The bass is not very well defined, agreed. Maybe some furthur eq'ing I can get it to fit in there somehow. I found the lead guitar too loud as it is, but I'll check it. Thanks Joro.

Cyrokk: The kick is another oddity on this track. I can't seem to get it to stick out. Again I blame the clashing freq's on the acc's and bass. I'll try and straighten that out as well. Thanks for checking it out.

freshears: Well, I played these drum tracks quite awhile ago, so maybe I was getting better 'at that time' :) I haven't played drums in ages. Plant got Married and I hadn't seen him since! :) Thanks David.

smellyfuzz: Thanks, glad you liked it.

jimmychalk: Glad you liked it as well.

Thanks for the feedback all, appreciate it.

oh btw, the song isn't called 'house cleaning', it doesn't really have a title, the working title was 'weird'.

Really nice one, Emeric. Those layered vocals are divine. What about turning up the main vocal 1 dB on the first part? What about turning down the acoustic about the same amount? The vocals on the outro are fine, and I think that's cuz it's quieter.

Ace e guitar, delicious tinkly piano. Good, good lyrics.

Damn, you nailed this one. The drums aren't as bad as you said, but that bit at the end doesn't live up to the rest of the playing on the track. What about just holding that drum pattern all the way to the end, and forget about changeups and stuff?

I really like this one. That bit at the end is like Vince Guaraldi on a blue day. Lovely.

What I meant to say was pro gear. Your music surely deserves it.

Hey Emeric:

Methinks that this is a catchy little song.

The hi-hat spaz scared me a bit 2:00 into it.

Has a nice blend of pop & jazz to it...Not too fond of the keyboard solo though-Sounds like something I would do on the keys.
Maybe you should replace it with some of your excellent guitar work.

The vocals might sound better double-tracked & brought up in the mix.

But-You've got a good song here, and I dug it.

I applaud the way you did that rythym line,, oohh, that was smooth. I liked the wide screen presentation sound, the mix seemed to go back for a long way over the horizon. shortly before 1:40 when the guitar was gettin on up, nicely I might add, the piano started playing some short little melodic notes skipping around in the depths of the chord.... I thought that would have been wayy cool if the bass had done a little of that too. Kinda twangy-dongy style then slip back for that resolve verse. and pick back up with the piano and drums playing tag before the fade. Ok, I`ll hush...
Oh, one more small thing... that little drum somersault thing in the vamp out that gets back up and finishes like a champ, well you know.... :)
Really nice presentation man, Id like to bring mine off that smooth.

Great song. Nice vibe. I wish I could play drums. The acoustic tracks are very smooth. I could stand to hear a little more "presence" in your vocals myself (atleast thats what my HR824's tell me).

Thanks,
Justin

Great work Emeric,

Had it on repeat play while reading threads, very easy on the ears.

Great recording, song, and all!!

Your stuff is allways interesting.
