Hot Red Vibro Champ Mini-Piggyback combo!!

Here's are some pics of my almost finished BF Vibro Champ Mini-Piggyback combo. I took my '73 VC and had my amp guy turn it into a mini version of a Bassman piggyback. I had him finish it in Marshall Red tolex. Everything is done except we're still waiting on the set of Weber 8" Ceramic Blue Pup 15 watt speakers that will be loaded in the cab. The overall height of the cab and head is 22" . I should get the speakers next week from Weber just in time for my Saturday gig.The guy at the bottom is my Amp Doc.

It'll be pleny loud for the studio or stage. I can get cranked singing sustain out of the VC when it's maxed out and it's pretty darn loud. This amp will be more efficient pushing the 2 8" speakers. I'll have it shooting back at me like a monitor when I play out. I'm not lookinig for super clean pristine tones cause I mostly play songs which have overdriven tones.

What kind of grill cloth you going with ...... same as the head?
I have a friend back in BR that plays thru a Vibro Champ I believe .... (is there some kinda higher powered Champ? ...... seems like his was closer to 10 watts or so) .... anyway ..... he plays thru a Champ that's in Red tolex like that. I've lusted for a red Fender ever since.

Thanks Bob. Yea the grill cloth will be the same. There really isn't any type of high powered Champ that I know of. I think all standard Champ and Vibro Champs are all 6 watts. Anyway, I've run the VC into bigger cab configurations and it gets pretty darn loud. I really looking forward to playing out with this little combo pretty soon.:D
