I believe that attitude is at least as important as words, chords or melody. What do you think???

I'll bite

ok I hear ya,
I'll take the bait, what do you mean?
-ok

Attitude is definatly important! after all it ain't rock-n-roll{so to speak} without attitude..To me attitude is in the performance and without a good performance...well you got paint by numbers sh*t..JMHO

Hi Don...long time since I've been on. Yeah, the difference in attitude is everything , in perormance and writing. Every song is gonna have the viewpoint of the one who is telling the story . For example, Mick Jagger vs Pat Boone. LOL. I believe that a great record will be a performance that perfectly portrays the viewpoint that the writer ( maybe the same person) had intended. IMHO

Its all important. The melody, lyrics, groove and the performance.

I just got an image in my mind of Pat Boone singing "Start Me Up"! Bye bye song! :D

Do you have that recording?

If there were such a recording, I don't think I would have lived through hearing it!

You talkin to me ? You talkin to me ? That's funny ... cuz I thought YOU were talkin to ME !!!!

Seriously though. Who gives a crap ? The song is just a medium for a message. It does not matter what your mental state is when it is being written, just that it works when it is done.

I think attitude is more of a performance thing really. That's when you need to be Mr. Rocker or whatever.
