Hooking up a OC mic to mixer

Hooking up a PC mic to mixer

I'm hooking up a earphone/PC mic (using a 1/8" to 1/4" adapter) to my mixer and I can't get it to work. The mixer(Mackie) doesn't hear anything from the mic, and I know the mic works....any help would be great!

You might find that the mic needs a power source for it to work (a little bit like a condenser mic) with your mixer, if I were you I'd look at getting another mic. And before you think of using the phantom power on the desk to power the mic check the mic's capabilities or you might just blow the thing, on the other hand you might not but be warned a mistake like that could cost you a new mic..........
