Is this possible? Because I wanted to get more Pre's, and I was just thinking of getting another Firepod. This way I can do 16 tracks at once. Would this work, or can you not do that? Also, is there any way to use the Firepod's pre's in Pro Tools? Like, if I were to buy a Digi 002, could I hook the Firepod to the Digi 002 via S/PDIF and have 12 tracks at a time recording in Pro Tools? Or would you just suggest me upgrading from the free Cubase LE to Cubase SX3? I actually really enjoy Cubase, but my Recording Tech class at school uses Pro Tools, and it's an industry standard soo.. I dunno. I'm looking to expand and I just wanted to know what would work. I don't really plan on doing this anytime soon, I still need to get my TR8 monitors (How do you guys rate these, by the way? I don't know much about monitors. A friend suggested these.), and a Tascam US-2400. Blah! Soo much money to be spent, haha. Like always, any help is appreciated. =)

Take care,
Adam.

HOLY CRAP-A-NOLEY!

Using the Firepod in Standalone (Windows XP and MacOSX Tiger

With the new Firmware installed, the Firepod will automatically route inputs 1-8 to their respective line outputs when the Firepod is not connected to the computer. This allows the Firepod to be used as a standalone 8 channel preamp.

Now I wonder if it does that while connected?

The latest drivers allow 2 firepods to be daisy chained together.

Never tried it myself though, as I only have 1
