defintely not metronome it is somewhat random ...only when the instrument is actually playing something ....also I have discovered that it is evident on the second track of song i.e. second audio track seems to be recording it possibly off the first track ...been checking the input and output volumes and record levels ...no luck yet thanks for your reply though
