i need a microphone for vocals
i record on sonar
i want as professional sound as possible
really cant spend more than $300.00

Does anyone have any suggestions about a good microphone.

I've got a Rode NT-3 ($100 @ GC on clearance) that I really like.

I recorded this with it:

I took it to a friend's studio and he liked it better on vocals than the $400 schmancy mic he had.

I would buy the NT1000, which can be had for $300.

This is so subjective, what kind of voice do you have and what sound are you after?

The B1 indeed is a cheap mic that sounds quite natural, but maybe you want a bigger sound. In that case you need another mic.

So, what do you want?
