If this has already been done, never mind, and I'm sorry if I stepped on any toes.

If not, well, I got this idea that it might be cool to construct an mp3.com radio station with a playlist of nothing but artists from homerecording.com.

Is this something that would interest any of you?

I don't care for MP3.com. Just my humble opinion. Nowhereradio is my weapon of choice.

Yeah, mp3.com has really fallen out of fashion here.... oh well, I still use it!

I do have some stuff up there but it just takes sooo long for a song to finally show up on their site. Nowhere is instant.... The last time I put a song on mp3com, by the time it actually appeared there, I had written a new one that I was excited about......Nowhere radio lets you strike while the iron is hot...and the owner Waldo is quite cool.

Sigh... I was a little turned off in the beginning, but I might just break down and give NowhereRadio another look.

Definitely worth another look!

Give it a shot - how many other places do you get access to the owner on a BBS?

I like the shoutcast idea, and I'm fooling around at Artist Launch, but my favorite is Nowhere Radio. Here are a few HomeRec sites from Nowhere..

Okay, I finally did it. I've even got a couple of songs uploaded. It can't hurt to be a member of both sites, right? And I do want to support my fellow homereccers.

Mp3.com doesn't use ShoutCast, they just link m3u's of downloads that make you 'Think' you are streaming music ;)

Anywho, you'll be able to do the same thing on NWR very shortly, in fact, tonight, if everything goes my way.

Basically: Create your own 'playlist' of songs by clicking on 'add to playlist' beside each song. You'll then be able to go to your 'playlist manager', move the songs around, save the list, and post it publicly on NWR.

Those links that Treeline supplied do not work for me. What gives?

Looks like he copied them from elsewhere in the board...

The links are incorrect and contain ...'s in them

Smooth stuff!

These are interesting changes - "We Cried" - Good stuff going on there. I especially liked the harmonies, which are unusual but which seen to work well. The changes reminded me of early Moody Blues arrangements a little.

Hey guys, you can now make a playlist of everyone on HomeRec and 'save' it to the site so others can load it/play it back, etc.

Just click on the '+' beside the songs you want to add, then go to your 'personal playlist' (top right) and 'save' the playlist, making sure you turn the public option on.

You can the load it and listen yourself, or go to the listen page and click on where it says 'click here' for the public playlists.

Cool.so when I go to the public playlists....will it tell me that some are homerecers? Or is it just a big old playlist with no way to tell our guys from anyone else?

Depends on what you put for a description on the list...

Whoever creates the list has control of the title and description of the list.

So, who's going to be in charge of constructing the playlist for Homerecer's?
