home studio question

sorry if this is newbie ? material. I'd like to record a second audio track while listening/playing to the first recorded track without it re-recording onto the 2nd. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I bet you use Creative's card, eh ?

Go to windows' mixer (double click little yellow speaker beside taskbar's clock) and open it. Select Options --> Properties --> Recording. Recording properties will open. Select "Line in" as recording source instead of "What U Hear" or something similiar. Now open HS, and do the routin...
