Home recording studio

I am looking up to set up a home recording studio.
I have a PC.
I am looking to only record 3 channels, max of 4. Acoustic and vocals.

Can anyone here help me out with what i would need for a basic setup.

Yeah. Firstly, welcome to HR.
A good thing to do would be to go through the past threads of the 'Newbies' section. This question comes up pretty much everyday, often several times a day and while it's not your fault, you may find not a great deal of patience with the question because a number of people have been answering it for years and like anything, it can become wearing.
With all that in mind, if you have a look through past threads (you need only go back a month or two), you will come across so much information to help you with your question. Once you have some idea of the options open to you (Portastudio ? Digital multitracker ? Reel to reel ? Computer ? Interface ? ), then you'll be in a better position to ask more pointed questions. And get more specific answers.

One other thing - make up your own mind but listen to and consider all advice, even if you choose not to take it.
