Hi, new user here.
Well, I'm in the market for a decent home recording set-up. Max budget £2000. Here's what I've been thinking of.
PC: AMD Phenom Quad Core processor (4x2.6Ghz)
4gb Ram
ASRock Motherboard
ANTEC Sonata III case + 500w PSU
320Gb hard drive etc.
Roughly £500
Interfaces: M-Audio Fast-Track Ultra 8R
Native Instruments Guitar Rig 3 Kontrol Edition
Roughly £600
Mics: AKG Drum Rythm Pack
Shure SM57
AKG C214
Roughly £850
Total: Roughly £1950
My questions: I'm not too sure of mics. I only need them for recording drums + vocals, as all guitar + bass will go through the Guitar Rig 3 setup. So any tips on mics? I'll be using the SM57 on the snare drum.
I'm pretty sure the PC will deal with whatever I throw at it. Just looking for someone to solidy that?
All help is appreciated,
Thanks.
