Hello,
I recently got a copy of Home Recording Magazine....I know that this page is not affiliated with that publication, but I was wondering if anyone could offer some advice?

While I do use the net for a lot of research, I really like paper magazines. I've been looking for a good recording mag for a while now and the two I've come up with are Home Recording and Mix. Mix seems a little fatter but is more technical (big studio) and Home Recording is thinner but more for guys like me. The problem with Home Recording is that it consists mainly of product reviews...and I'm looking for something that is more geared at using what you've already got :)

Any suggestions or opinions on either of these magazines?

My primary means of recording are PC HD based using n-Track Studio 2.0 and various other applications. I also have a Fostex 4-track but am using it as a mic preamp (4 tracks wasn't enough :)

Thanks

if you like to read , there are plenty of helpful books on home recording... step by step guides , how to guides , you name it... im in the same boat , i love searching the site , but i like to sit and relax and read every so often too... i use this site for good general info and tips , and try and help people , then i use books and magazines to pick up the slack of what i dont know... and besides , im tired of lugging this damn computer to the mens room... :D
