i was wondering, if i get this

will i be able to just plug a guitar into it and make the effects on my plug ins, or do i need some sort of a direct box or something? thanks

An acoustic with a piezo output, sure. An electric, you're going to need some kind of amp modeler or amp modeling software, or a mic and an amp.

This interface doesn't seem to have 1/4" inout jacks for guitar. XLR mike jacks only.

I guessing that this interface is intended for DJ and hiphop because of the line in/outs for turntable, midi for sampling, and XLR for rap vocals or DJ voice overs.

One of the 1/4in line inputs is switchable to Hi-Z so you should be able to plug straight in. The tone will depend on what plug-ins you have.
