what is this?
Hello to everyone, be prepared for a short series of questions...
(If I need to relocate this to the Newbie section, just let me know...)
Alright, I'm currently using Wavelab Lite (freebie that came with my Emu soundcard), and I guess I like it quite a bit. I do all my recording and mixing in Cubase SL3, and I generally use Wavelab to add all the fades and "global" eq and (sometimes) compression to my stereo exports from Cubase. I really want to upgrade to something with more features, either Wavelab Essential or Wavelab 6 really soon, like this weekend, but I can't find a comparison chart ANYWHERE for them... Not even Steinberg's website has a side by side comparison on the two.
Does anyone know where I may be able to find this???
Also, while searching this forum for answers on the previous question, I came accross quite a few references to Red Book CD's, PQ editing, etc... What is this? Is this anything that an aspiring hobbyist should even have to worry about? I guess, even if it doesn't matter, I'd still like to know just to subdue my curiosity... I'm on my way to Google, but if anyone has any insight that would be awesome!
As usual, any and all help is greatly appreciated!
