Anyone wanna help me master this?
Hi,
I'm not sure if I have found the right forum for this but I'll put it here anyway. Right, I am looking for one of you fine people who would be willing to help a poor frustrated, on-the-verge-of-breakdown young lad master a song (or 4 ideally! lol).
Right, a bit of background info. I am in a band called Malevolus, www.malevolus.com and we have been together for a few years, just as fun to start off with but we are trying to go at it a bit more seriously now, anyway, after lots of requests and us feeling the need for it, we decided it was time to record a demo. So, about 6 months ago we got the 4 songs ready that we wanted to get recorded and gradually (until a week or so ago!!) we managed to record our seperate parts in our spare time, blah blah blah.
We have got no money! That is the main thing before I go on any further, if we did have enen a few quid between us we would pay for someone to do something with this for us!
So, I've got the tracks, and I've done a mix of the first song, called musical warfare, and it sounds really muddy and horrible, and, although I like the sound, it doesn't sound right against other people's recordings. Now, I am now mastering master!! or sound engineer or anything like that, I am a Bass player who is the only member of the band who isn't too lazy/buisy to do this!
Next, I downloaded a version of Izotopes Ozone and yes it made it sound a lot better, but still not exactly 'proper' sounding, I mean I can't put it in a playlist with other bands tracks and not notice the difference easily (you know what I mean).
What I'm asking of you; Basically, please, please, please can someone help me out and do a master of it?? Although I can't pay you I would appreciate it more than anything else ever and would give you LOADS of credit on the CD etc. This now seems really cheeky and rude, but if possible could you also do it to the other 3 tracks we have to get the same sort of sound (they are not quite ready yet though).
Basically if someone could give me any help they would make my life worth living, as a lot of people want the demo (ie. a skate video and various magazines etc) and I really can't send them that!! I you need them I could even put each individual track for each song etc up (the originals before I started playing with them) etc, etc. Whatever you want I'll do it.
Also anyone's opinion on this horribly muddy song! ie potential??
once again you can get it from
Thankyou so much for even reading this post, I love you!!
Cheers
