No WAY!!! I'm sorry...when I read a few people saying "give the guy props for trying, blah blah blah"...I figured "How bad could it be"....But no way, you don't give someone props for being so delusional as to think that anything you put on tape has merit. He's singing the songs an octave lower, out of key....the worst timing in the world...Come On!!! Gimme a break...I still have trouble beleiving this is serious...and if it is, he should be ashamed of himself. It's beytond atrocious. Even if he was recording into a Panasonic tape recorder...It's still BAD!!!

I just listened to Comunication Breakdown cover of Led zep;
what happened????

"war pigs - black sabbath

(this one recorded live in san francisco in 2000)"

lol this is funny stuff...........recorded live in San Fran

...........yeah all my self is recorded live in Auburn New York.........in a small room that contains my bed

dude I give you credit for trying and taking the time to do 52 covers.......lol
warpigs would be my favorite ( i didnt listen to all 52 though...sorry)

This can't be a joke........no one in their right mind would spend this much time on a joke.

On a positive note.........your voice isnt horrible..........
sorry thats the best i can come up with right now.............I am drunk right now and this still doesnt sound good!

go to his site.........he has even more tunes

IM listening to "run to the hills" right now lol

omg!

I just checked out his site quickly...the sad thing is, I like his politics and beliefs...

The problem is, every time he presses "RECORD", the terrorists win.

I just checked out his cover of Led zeppelin`s kashmir.
man that rocks.
and lets not forget his smashing version of Immigrant song, specially the intro screams.

ahaaah ahazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz :p

YES!!!!

he`s doing Yes covers.
Roundabout, man this rocks
no need for funky bass rythms. :D

Exelent comment man :D
hahaha

train wreck!

I couldn't help myself going back for another listen, then another one, and another....

100% for effort :D

Ok, I saw this guy's home page, and I do not endorse his politics, whatsoever,...

but I still dig these stripped, off the wall little recordings.

Mind you, he's recording on a Zoom PS-04, which is essentially a palmtop organizer that records. Production value is not the strong point of these recordings, but IMO it's about basic creativity and doing a lot with what you have. Okay, don't savage me on the "creativity" statement, 'cause I know these are all covers,... but it's still creative within the realm of cover tunes.

Never mind that any cover RAMI produces is light years ahead of this guy! I'd expect that sort of comment from RAMI, after listening to his stuff. In comparison, some of my own covers made either on a Tascam Portastudio (cassette), the (1/4") 388, or the (1/2") 38, knocks this guy's stuff in the dirt. In further comparison, RAMI's stuff knocks my stuff in the dirt.

I dunno about you guys. I think these little cover song vignettes ROCK! Definitely an A for effort, and for taking an outside stance on well known classic songs! Laugh if you want. It's all the same to me.;)

See, that's where we differ. His politics is about ALL I can stomach. Even though, like I said before. When he presses that RECORD button, the terrorists win.

My criticism of his "music" wasn't snobbery. I think it takes more than pressing "RECORD" for someone to deserve kudos for his "efforts". I mean, come on, there has to be a minimum standard somewhere. I don't care about equipment or, for that matter, sound quality to a certain extent. But if you can't do a song without "talking" out the lyrics an octave lower than the original, then don't do the song. I'll always give credit where it's due, but I won't give it just to come off like a nice guy...I'd rather be honest and say this has NO merit and it sucks. I envy your open-mindedness, though, as mis-guided as I think it is in this case.

I never said you were a snob.

I just said there's a vast difference between these covers and my covers, then another vast difference between my covers and RAMI's covers.

If monotone delivery of vocals was not artistically viable, rap music would not exist. That's probably fodder for another post, altogether.

Lou Reed can't sing like David Bowie, but they're both artistically valid in rock music.

Yes, but Lou reed doesn't try to do Aerosmith covers either. Snoop Dog doesn't do Foreigner. Apples and oranges. Hey, if you dig what he does, that's cool, that's what music's all about. :)

(I wasn't implying you were calling me a snob, by the way...Just making it clear that I'm not one at all when it comes to music.)

I'd certainly love to here it, though!

There's an old saying, that we all achieve to the level of our incompetence. Maybe that applies here.

I still dig these crazy, stripped, lofi, no-talent little covers! Sure, I've heard and/or done better covers.;)

It does entertain the hell out of me, I must admit. Though maybe not for the intended reason. :)
