Hip hop - Vocals & Cuts - Comments

The hook seems to carry quite well, although I'd be inclined to give it a db or two at the 3K mark. The bass could be fatter with this genre, and a whole lot of stuff seems piled together because the track seems almost mono if not completely mono. Aside from my observations it's probably going to be a case of playing the track through a variety of end user audio set ups to see how it varies and gives you a idea or two where to boost and cut by small increments.

What do you mean by 3k mark? 3rd hook?
I'll boost the lo-range on the beat, but unfortunately I'm using a instrumental track whose original session was lost by the beat maker's failed hard drive, so that's all I can think of to do to add bass. As far as the room, I have most back up vocals pushed left or right 20-40 percent, main vocals dead center.

I also feel like the second MCs vocals are clearer and less muddy than mine. Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try and post an update in the next day or so.
