Good technique and endurance, but might as well get a drum machine... no feeling whatsoever... :(

Bullshit, you can see the double pedal and his legs moving
also his hi hat is up quite alot of the time when he is playing
 
I've never seen that style before, where you just move your wrists and hands and the rest of your body is still. He should work for a movie studio doing soundtracks.

LOL! Yeah, it looks pretty funny, kid's got chops for sure, but as has been already said...very little feeling.

Double pedal? Am I the only one who sees the 2nd kick drum?

No video, but here is a latin drum solo within a song. The drummer was Reinhard Melz, from Portland Oregon. I met him in college studying music. His step dad is Bobby Torres, who has played percussion for a number of huge international acts.

Anyway, Reinhard's nickname is "The Black Hole" because YOU have to keep good time during his solos because he will give you almost NOTHING to grab ahold of timing wise.

This cut is "live". The sax was overdubbed, but the drums, bass, piano were done in one take.



The band is Porterhouse. Funny, the bass player is Ty North, the son of Roger North, the inventer of North Drums.
 
By the way, the drum "solo" starts around 3:48

Also, the cowbell and other percussion stuff is NOT a seperate percussionist or overdub. He played those as well as the kit in the live take!

OMG A DRUM MACHINE WITH NEWLY ADDED HUMAN-LIKE BODY!

That drummer has NO feel whatsoever. Set him down with a 4/4 beat and an acoustic player and he'll start devouring his own feces.












Decent endurance. ;)
