No sharpie on a CD-R??? I've been doing that for years!!! What gives???

I'll third or fourth the Johnson J-Station. i believe that the departure of this fine yet inexpensive guitar processor left a gaping hole in the low-cost range of guitar effects. Works like a charm for variety of recording needs.

I highly recommend Taylor guitars, elixer strings, and the RNP. These are tried and true, quality products that are hard to complain about.

Go ahead, your turn

Taylor guitars (in the acoustic guitar universe) and the RNP (in the recoding universe) are excellent mid-level products. There are a lot worse (even for the same $$). There are significantly better guitars and preamps, usually at higher prices.

As to the Elixirs, I like them and use them regularly. Although most would say certain non-coated strings sound better (e.g., John Pearse PBs), coated strings, such as the Elixir Polywebs and Nanowebs (along with other brands of coated strings) offer long life, consistent tone over their lifetime, great balance and, at least for me, much less wear on my right hand fingernails.
