High Pitched Buzz

Lately while recording audio to my soundcard I've noticed that once in a while I get a very high pitched buzz on the final audio track. I never used to get this problem but now I get it every once in a while. The only new device I've added to my computer is a new monitor but I removed it and it had no effect. Any ideas as to what is causing it?
 
Yo Robert:

Turn on your equipment and put on your headset.

Then, one at a time, jiggle/wiggle, all of your connections.

If you run into a buzz, snap, crackle, or pop or whine, you have a bad wire.

If not the wires, it must be some defect in your equipment.
