Has anyone had any experience with any of the high end CD burners like the Alesis Masterlink or the other one from Marantz? Is there really an appreciable difference in sound quality from the Sony burner I'm using in my computer? Right now I mix the midi tracks and audio tracks until they sound right, then record them with Cool Edit to form a wave file, which I then burn onto the CD. Don't know if its my imagination, but I seem to lose some sound quality in the process...probably when I record with cool edit.
