I agree - it's all upper frequencies. You need to fill the bottom end of the song with deeper drum heads - kick and toms. You can probably fill some bass lines with that keyboard too.
Very nice song all in all.... just really trapped in that high end.
I think you need to bring down the instruments or bring the vocal up. It's tough to hear the vocal. I also wonder if a little low mid boost to the vocal might sound nice. Like around 250h - 300hz or so.
The mix is kind of narrow. Not terribly narrow, but a bit. The drums seem down the center, as do the keyboard parts.
Seems like a general buildup in the 500hz - 800hz range. A lot of that is in the drums I think.
you may want to change the link in your first post as it comes up like theres nothing there
so great song, contemporary and a bit retro too
Im afraid Id have to repeat again that theres still some meat missing from the mix...its just a little washy/light like your voice is the anchor rather than the bass or kick
you need to get this right as the track has lots of potential..Im more electronically inclined so not sure where youd be looking at..but Id start with Kick/Bass/vocals then mix the rest in...tame the HFs as theres a lot of sizzles from the snare to go along with other effects
