Whats up.. I have been recording on my computer for about 6 months and i have created a few songs.. but i was wondeirng if i could get some information on how to do this proper without spending a lot of money.. and pehaps no money..

I want to be a hip hop artist..

I have a mic and a computer.. on the computer i use internet audio mix to mix stuff down.. i also record on it.. i use cool edit to tweak with my stuff.. i also sometimes use gold wave to do the same thing..

for my beats i use fruity loops.. its not too shabby in my oppinion..

but i want to know where i can get good vocal compressors..

i also want to get some bass synthasizers for my computer.. maybe some other type of thing to make instruments for thebeats..

i basically want all the info i can get for free

good compressor - Behringer Autocom Pro $79
great compressor - RNC $175

or you can go the plugin route and get something for free......

for synth, maybe upgrade to the Pro version of Fruity Loops...they have some good stuff for the style of music you want to do.....
