I have a SB PCI512 and an Aardvark 24 on a WinXP home PC. Works well (knocking on wood).

I'm using a delta 1010 and my mobo soundcard with xp...workin' fine.

Of course I can't, for example, use the inputs on the mobo card simultaneously with the 1010 ones when I'm in cubase because I use the Delta ASIO drivers for the best audio latency.

I have been using my stock soundcard outs for MP3 playback for recreation... and then my delta for studio stuff.

works fine..

not true indeed.
Here successfully side-by-side under XP: Delta 410 + sblive

yup, there like kids at times, hard to get them to play nice ;) ya gotta baby em... irq wise, in my case...

the playback of the SB suffices i guess but it won't touch the 410 as far as rec, imho...

i got tired of fooling with the SB and got another 410, in seperate systems with hardware prices what they are, cheap... does anything i want or could ask of them, no more single system recording, tracking back and forth really speeds things up...

not that my brain needs the second system ;) going to fast is what screws up most of my audio anyway...

i agree with your SCSI\RAID views also, i wish the price would go IDE's route, though... not likely...

I must confess that when I had both cards in my system, I never used the sblive again for audio i/o, just the midi i/o.

But that worked just fine.

I removed the sblive a short while ago when I bought a USB 4x4 midi interface by the way.

errr...errr

hmm...ok
am i able to tu use the original soundcard to playback normal mp3 files and other stuff and use my audiophile to record and play back tracks (cep)??

humm...yes, but why? unless you plan on rec that source? and again, why to that?

hehe ok let me explain
my pc is not for recording only
so my pc speakers have a 1/8 to connect into the soundcard
so with the audiophile id need to get an adapter or something

besides i'd like to have a pair of monitors for well...monitoring the tracks im recording but the pc speakers to playback "normal" audio

once you get a taste of the audiophile the onboard will leave much desired imho ;)

hahaha i know...then what do you recommend to get two signals from the rca output in the audiophile????
