ive jus purchased a micro korg, i think its awsom, but i wanna know who else owns one, anytips, secrets, info, pics, downside of the micro-korg welcome!!!
I just got a Microkorg as well. No secrets yet, but I am very pleased with it. You'll find that a lot of people tend to recommend the Micron over the Microkorg, but to me the Microkorg just has much better vibe. Small keys, obviously, but for what I do that's not a problem. In fact, it's an advantage because it makes it very small and portable.
My band has one (we all pitched in together on it) but I never have a chance to mess with it. Once I do, I'll get back to you! It's a great little unit, though. I'm dying to try using an external audio source to run through the vocoder, like a drum track or something unusual.
As everyone else says the mini keys can be a pain but if you plan to add more synths/controllers you can always use a full size controller to play it by way of midi.
I like to hook the Micro Korg up to my sequencer and have my sequencer send MIDI clock out to it so the arpegiator is locked to the tempo of the song.
One thing we tryed was hooking up a mic to the micro korg and putting the mic up to the monitors and using a vocoder patch mad the synth Howl!
