Hey, Live recording feedback please!

Hey everyone,

Haven't posted here in a while!

Just put a new cover of "The Diary of Jane" by Breaking Benjamin on YouTube.

Just looking for some feedback on the live recording, as I don't do it that often.

It was done in one take as well, without much practice, so I was a bit pitchy in some areas. Piano was recorded later on. :)

The Diary of Jane - Breaking Benjamin Cover

Equipment used:

Audio Technica AT4040
Studio Projects B1
Presonus Firepod
Logic Studio 8
Fender Acoustic
Yamaha Upright Piano

Any tips or feedback is welcome either here or on the YouTube video. :)

Thanks in advanced guys!
Daniel.

You start off rough and are rather pitchy until the second chorus, which is where you finally start to hit your stride.

To be honest, I'm not sure what you are looking for feedback on here. There's an accoustic guitar and a vocal track...if you are going for a live feel I would take down the waterfall of reverb, because i think it kills the live, accoustic mood that would fit this better. The reverb would work if you were going for a more produced sound.

Other than that, it sounds like you are looking for more performance-based feedback, and there is another forum for that, my friend.
