I've seen you recommend the Seymour Duncan Alnico II and Pearly Gates as an awesome combination for rock guitar several times.

I decided to give em a try and installed them in one of my Ibanez Artists. After a couple months of evaluating them during band practice and at home... I LOVE THEM!

I've tried many different pickups over the 17 years I've been playing guitar and have never been totally satisfied with any of them. This particular combo is perfect for the stuff I play. I think I'm going to install the same combo in my other Artist.

Man, those pickups in my red guitar (Mahogany neck through... ah fuck it, just read a bunch of my posts, I have talked about it enough). At any rate, those pickups in my red guitar through an AC-30 is the greatest clean sound I have ever heard. In my all mahogany yellow/green guitar through a Mesa, it is all about the distortion.
