It's a mystery to me too? :eek:

There was talk of a new server coming after the contest close but, the current one was supposed to last until then.

I have to wonder if Bruce is even aware due to his professional interests of starting up a new company and not having much time to be around the site these days because of that.

Perhaps he'll see this thread here and explain himself?

I feel bad for all the people who went through the chore of submitting their songs for the contest too. If any of you are reading this, please know that the disappearance is not intentional and the prizes will be awarded eventually so hang tight until Bruce gets the site back together.

I believe we far exceeded the bandwidth restrictions on the server this month. I don't know if Bruce will buy more bandwidth for a few more days or just wait till the first of the month till it rolls around to zero again. I was yakkin with Erik (indieindieradio.com) yesterday, and he said Bruce was aware and working towards a fix...the site was up for a few minutes yesterday, but then went down in flames when I tried to login. :(

I know the new, dedicated server was scheduled for June, but that's about all I know.

Yup...those attachments eat up bandwidth too and God knows we've gotten plenty of attached entries this month!

Yeah, we moved to the new server yesterday...came up yesterday afternoon just fine. Ran great last night. I go to log on this morning and pffffft!
I have no idea what the hell's goin on! :mad:

Bout the worst hosting I've seen in awhile tho. I need to go kick that hosting company in the shin.

I'm patient, just looking forward to it. I'm ready to dig in with both hands over there with decent people who mostly want to talk shop. I can remember when the original Tascam Forums were around way back when. A lot of us thought ourselves too civilized to venture into this HR bbs asylum very often. I basically never came over here until we were orphaned. And now I'm even venturing into the cave now and then -- somebody slap me!

As this is more of a zoo than ever, and I’ll admit bad company corrupts good manners, I want to spend more time at Tascam Forums rather than here, before I turn into an ass hole or something. I just hope its not too late? :D

I suspect most view me as a Jekyll and Hyde type personality as I am very business like over there and a crazed Liberal over here. ;)

I think I prefer the sanity too. :)

Nah, I just always think of you, and ARP too, as highly complex and interesting -- somewhat eccentric and unpredictable like me. We are artists you know. ;) I just hope people (the ones that matter anyway) give me the same grace.

Like The Master, Bruce Lee, said speaking of Jeet Kune Do. "Be like water, which can be flexible, able to fit in any container, then suddenly a powerful wall of overwhelming detructive force." Something like that.

To follow the analogy further, most days I would rather be a gentle rain than a driving storm of golf-ball sized hail if I can help it. I can’t always help it, but it’s no struggle at all at Tascam Forums for some reason. As a moderator you’ve set a good example over there, which helps create a welcome ambiance.

You're right though -- if we don't get off the battlefield now and then and put on a suit and tie we will turn into beasts. :D

I tried to go there using your link and it didn't work. Had to type the address in manually.
 
Probably need to delete your vapor park cookies....I imagine that's what's driving this. :cool:
