At least I'm not singing or playing on this.

My daughter apparently took a shot at recording something while I was out of town this weekend...(There was a new recording session listed on my computer Sunday morning, and it wasn't mine, lol).

She also used up a ton of hard drive space doing it, so I had to consolidate the tracks...I went ahead and did a little mix of it. I couldn't do much, b/c she recorded the lead vocal and the guitar on one track, but I'm sure I managed to screw it up anyway.

It's got tons of timing mistakes and other warts, but I thought the vocals were cool...and I'm pretty used to posting half-assed stuff here anyway, lmao :D

I heard some of your vocal traits in her voice! Man she can sing! Courtney does that tune too, I'd love to hear both of em on that one! Maybe if you ever get "permission" to post this tune, she'd consider a collab with the kid. I think she did a damn good job!

GREAT harmonies ....KILLER harmonies!! She has a unique character, and style to her voice already ....and is gonna be sooooo scary at 16.

..Nice mix on those vocs too btw..... I like the placement.

Geez Chris,

She has the voice of someone much, much older. I'm super impressed, but I've heard her on here once before as well. Congratulations!

I think her voice is perfect for the song as well. Hearing this brought back some memories to me as well, so that was nice...I remember really digging the Indigo Girls for awhile back in the 90s. Back in the day...ha ha.

She's great, she may make you rich one day, if you're not already!

You can hear a little of you in that one. Scary, huh? No question she is a force at 13. The harmonies rocked. I listened on headphones so the hamonies may have been a little too wide but really who cares. This was sit down, hit record and go to town and to town she did! :p

You have your hands full my man. Keep her inspired. We need this kind young talent out there.

I have two daughters myself. I just smiled while listening thinking that maybe one of them will do something like this.

I've always liked this song and the indigo girls.Atlanta natives ya know...LOL..jaimee did a GREAT job of covering this one.The vocals are super as always.Love the harmonies.I dont know where she gets her talent :D , but she's been blessed with an ability to sing a song with a LOT of emotion and in a wide variety of styles.She's gonna be able to sing pop,country,blues,folk etc.... with ease as the years go by.

You should turn her musical endeavors into YOUR #1 project.;)

Kramer - Always select all and "Control-C" before hitting send. I learned that the hard way! :)
 
Thanks for listening, guys (of all sexes).

I just walked in, lmao..it looks like some of you people have made one helluva' an effort to get her star rating up a little :D - I know the recording sucks, lol. I cut out about a minute of the tune with that pretty bad edit (believe me, she would have approved of what I hacked out, lol), and the top end got really hot for some reason...and she knocked her guitar into the boom stand at least once, so there's that. I was just sorta' all swelled up at her vocal arrangement...

I just kinda' wanted to (secretly) share her first attempt at hitting the record button with you people. She left for church camp this morning, so there's virtually NO CHANCE she'll find out I posted this...

Don't tell...

(I'm just having a Daddy moment with this one, lol...it's been saved to the hard drive and 2 CD's for safekeeping) :D :D

Anyway, thanks a ton...

When she gets back, I'm showing her how to enable the metronome, lol.
 
Also using the back button on the browser will work. I've recovered a few PM's that didn't go through due to full mailboxes that way.
