Yes, it's one of these. My band's name is Captions, and we hail from Ventura County, CA. We've been a band for about two years and have recorded a couple demo EPs. These two new songs are from an EP that we just recorded and should be finished and released very soon. Instruments were recorded live in our guitarist's garage, using a firestudio project. Guitars recorded with a Beta 57a and an e609. Drums were recorded with four mics (D112, audix i5, and a pair of NT1A's). Bass was recorded direct from the line out of a Mark Bass Combo. Keyboards were recorded direct afterwards. Vocals recorded with a KSM27. Hate away.
 
Very nice, i like airy music. though i couldn't understand a word you singer sang, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. very good stuff.
 
Very pensive, atmospheric rock. This has tones of a Built to Spill track (maybe Stab) and Band of Horses' Funeral. I will say that I found myself getting a little restless towards the end - it kind of felt like you were building up to something that wasn't quite there.

I too appreciate the peculiar enunciation of the singer in this track. It adds to the aura of mystery.
