Hey deepwater, do you ship to europe

Hi

Do you ship the 8.2 wharf's to europe at all? How much would it cost altogether?
I can only find them for £250 over here in the UK.
 
The whole concept of this guy selling directly through HR.com troubles me big time.
 
well people have bought from him and they are happy with the service.
 
Hmmm. I just think the whole 'I PM'd you' thing is a bit creepy - this could be any big company shifting extra stuff through, or it could be a one-man business being supported by the free help he gets with his sales. I dunno. He says he's helping out his 'friends', but most of the time he's picking off random people who are asking questions about gear and end up getting emails off this stranger offering to take their money from them. :confused:
 
i never looked at it that way. its not like he pesters you with pm after pm. and you can always delete the pm. and i highly doubt hes gonna run off with the money cause its not like he doesnt make any sales here.
 
No - but Harvey got banned for making an offer in a thread, yet this guy carries it in his signature line and hi-jacks threads to offer his wares out to the confused question asker. It's just not a precedent I'm comfortable with ... it's not like the Hyatts ever used the board for direct sales, just customer service and PR.
 
....so if he isnt asked directly in a thread about a product he offers, he shouldnt offer it? and even when he states he PM'ed a person, you dont want to see that either? what if they ask him straight out in a thread about one of his products? is that not ok with you either?

I'm not asking to be an asshole. i just want to know your opinion on that whole matter.

Yet every single person has been happy with his sales, service and prices. If he was ripping people off then it would be a problem. Its a win-win for everyone, they get a good speaker at the best price, he makes a bit of money for himself (very small margins mind you if he is bettering even the big companies).

I don't see the problem with it.

That as got nothing to do with it. I dare say he is a nice guy as well BUT it breaks the rules and some pepe's get slayed and others don't and because some of you have had decent deals it makes you "turn a deaf one".

I've not read Warhead, Dot, Fletcher or anyone like that offering sales on here. If they make higher sales because of their posts, it's because they actually come on and offer something to the site. This guy, two-thirds of his posts seem to be bolstering his sales figures.

I'm sure he'll come and tell us that he makes no money, that he's just looking after his friends, but I reckon that if you want to do something out of the goodness of your heart you don't do it with complete strangers over an internet forum - you go down your local gig venue with a car boot full of Wharfedale monitors and sell them to the guys trying to get their demos done at home.
