Anyone have an opinion? Especially their hollowbody and semi hollowbody models....

i have a 575 (ie: gibson es175).

it's a terrific guitar, especially for the money.
i would put it over a gibson hands down. at a certain point, you're paying for the gibson name.

recommended!

I have an H-555, (Their version of the ES-345). It's just a better guitar than its Gibson counterpart. I have had several Gibson semis in the past and prefer the Heritage to them. The two/thirds price tag is just a bonus.

FWIW: Some of the older ones came with Schaller pickups. I won't say they're bad. I'll just say that they're not my favorite flavor of humbucker. Their HRW pickups are fine as are the Seymore Duncans they commonly come with now. YMMV

My main band is very eclectic, Cello, acoustic, and electric guitars with vocals. We're all geezers so we do some stuck in the sixties stuff and everything from Hubert Sumlin to Lucinda Williams with about half the material originals.
