I own a Heritage H575 which is their version of the ES-175 and this is a high quality built instrument. I have never had a problem with the craftsmanship. I never knew of any QC issues with the company, especially with my instrument. I would definitely buy a Heritage guitar again.

Do you feel better playing it? I mean how does it compare to other guitars you have had?

I have always considered buying a Heritage when I guy new guitars. The number one biggest problem is that I can't find a dealer to try them out. Jay Wolfe at Wolfe Guitars has an excellent selection and pricing on Heritage, btw, but I'm not buying any guitar without playing one first. At least one of the same exact model.

Now that they're getting Plek'd I bet they play like butter. When I decide to add a semi-hollow to my collection again (havent needed or wanted one in years) Heritage will be right at the top of my list.

I should say, to add what I said before, that I own a couple 70's Gibsons and I'm a big fan of Gibsons built in that era. Especially SGs and Les Paul Customs.

Buffalo Brothers in San Diego,CA has a big selection of Heritage as well...

I live in Kalamazoo, MI about 10 minutes from the old gibson factory. It is true that gibson closed up shop in kazoo in '85 and scooted down to Tennesee where they had been making guitars since the late 70's. Alot of my friends own heritage guitars and they are obviously quite popular in town. My guitar tech Pete Moreno worked for gibson for 25yrs and works for heritage today. I've played several of their models and they all sound very nice. Does their semi hollowbody es-335-like guitar sound the same as my '89 or '68 gibson es-335? Hell no!!! And every guitar player around here knows it. They are no doubt constucted very well and have a very personal touch associated with them. In fact, you can go downtown, see the factory and design what you like. But a gibson is a gibson, some years better than others. However, side by side I bought my gibson for a reason...i wanted THAT sound.

Anyways, the guys down at heritage are all real nice and friendly. Oh yeah...they do have a few old timers around there.

I have a Heritage Eagle hollow body that is great. For jazz or old time blues tones it "has it."
