The mellow side of GT. Real nice job man. The tempo seemed a little slow compared with the original. I would cut a little hi end on the guitar, and bring it up a little more in the mix.

Thanks Twist,

I'm not at all happy with it. Tempo was wrong, and to much treble on the guitar. I've been so damn lazy with recording lately, and this shows it.

I rushed it big time!! I wanted so badly to get a song in here, it's been so long, and I have'nt been practicing the craft. Not for the ego boost, but for the love of it.

I'm actually glad it hasn't gotten many replies, seriously.

I will redo it, from scratch, and put it back in when I have made a serious effort.

Thanks again

GT

"What a wild ride!"

j/k -- just something I'm repeating you once said about one of mine...

Yeah... your vocal tone comes very close to our man, J.T. hhmmm... "G.T.".... "J.T."... interesting :)

Sounds really good. The percussion is thinish; bass has a low-mid hump to it. Voice sounds good in this mix; good 'verb.

Nice job! really good talent.

Hey GT,

I think the mix might benifit from some bass taming. Maybe lower the bass in the mix and compress it some. The git could use more presence in the mix.

I really like the timbre and reverb (or juducious lack of) of the your voice and the vocal track.

Did me good to hear a new recording of yours.

Peace,
Theron.

Speaking of old threads

Remember when "jusumpilgrim" replied to one of your JT covers a few months ago? I have to tell you, I've thought about your reply on more than one occasion, and it always makes me smile.

I won't remember it verbatim, but the gist was:

"Gee, you're a lot pickier than I am" - LMAO. You gained about 300lbs of my respect with that!

On this one, I'm gonna' go in the opposite direction and say that I think you're being too harsh on yourself. I don't know jack about EQ'ing anybody else's stuff, but I think Chad might be on to something with the low end comment. It might be robbing the guitar of some life.

"Loving the love I love" @ 1:10, the "I" is the only vocal clam that kinda' stood out to me...(but I'm not all that picky either, :D)

Thanks for posting this...if you re-do it, start a new thread, okay?

Have fun,
Chris

very tasteful skeeter. did a damn good job on the timings. The guitar is nice but could come up a little, maybe a little more bottom on the bass and back it off a tad. Really nice. I liked the room sound on the vocal. I hope I`ll be able to get that sound one day, for now i just get cheesy reverb sound.

yep ...i used to hear this alot when i was a kid....good job...bottomish boomy a bit....but the vocals sound great
i wish i could hear the guitar more.....but other than that nice warm tone to the whole thing

cool

Real nice GT...really nice, you sound alot like the man too. Enjoyed this alot..thanks.

Hey G ......uh, ..T:)
Excellent tune man. This is beautiful. To my ears, a little of the taming that was mentioned might need to be done to the lead vocs. The bass guit. didnt really sound too boomy to me, but the vocals seemed to hog up just a touch too much of that lower end. Speaking of vocs....... damn dude..... these really are "that" good. ....Just beautiful, you do JT proud. If you repost, let us know, 'cause i wanna hear it.
.....fantabulous! g w/5
