i got a pc drummer demo that doesnt allow you to export to wave,so i tried this, i ran a double male 1/8" stereo jack cable and ran from the line out of my sound card to the line in, and recorded the drums in cool edit!!! it works perfectly, you only have to make sure you turn the wave volume down in the windows mixer so itll sound clean, itll sound distorted if you dont i found about a quarter of the way up was good, I dont know if this will endanger the sound card any way or not so do it at your own risk, i really dont THINK it will harm it being its a low signal out but im truthfully not sure, the sound quality to ME wasnt too bad either, im gonna find more good demos that dont allow you to export to wave and PLAY!!!! Hey this ought to work for copy protected cds too but id never do that!
