Yo, it's actually good to hear you "Change" up for the first time, shows your versitility.
I have 100 different styles I can flip. I just usually stick to what works best for the beat.

i felt you couldve came alot fuckin harder
If you're in a fight, do you bring out a tank to kill the dude you're fighting? Or do you just hit him square in the jaw and knock him out?

I'm not gonna waste a lot of time on something that was so weak in the first place. Never show your full hand, only do what you need to do to win.

lol, what mic you using b..... nice quality cuz.
MXL V63 Mogami Edition. I got it 4 years ago, for about $300. You can get them now, for like... $99 I think. It's a pretty old style of mic.. but the Mogami is a solid condensor for Hip-Hop vocals. Real crisp and clean.

Plus change got some of the best produced shit on here.... besides the fact that he can spit .....
Thanks fam.

Change you gotta fill me in on dat vocal chain man. You used that v63 on that one? Pre? compressor?
Same chain as always. V63 Mogami, Soundcraft CompAct 4, Echo Mia MIDI, Adobe Audition.

Anyway, I know Change can come harder than that, BUT.... HE DIDN'T NEED TO. Sad part is Change only had to waste one verse to kill this dude. Straight general shit homie.
Exactly, fam. You already know...

Not bad overall but the dilivery was lazy. Vocals are a little muddy and you gotta at least come as hard as he did. I'm giving him this round. Your content was good but you gotta deliver it. Your production was dirtier too (not in a good way). So redo it go harder and keep this shit goin.

ready for the next round...

What? Vocals muddy? Not hard enough? DID you hear the other guy? Maybe you don't understand how this battle started. You need to go back to all threads that have something to do with poppin paul and then come back to when mademcee got in. Change could have came alot harder but he didn't need to. Why waste time?

beer shot out my mouth when you said that Soundclick shit. Since beer nose sucks, i vote for the other guy (who was it?) :D

LOL @ Muddy Vocals.... Other dude recording with Fisher Prices "My First Mic" and windows sound recorder, and the quality of this joint gets critiqued?
Production dirtier? I agree with Tone, did you even listen to the other guys stuff?

V63 Change? Damn I always put you on one of the AT mics...lol Guess I was way off.

No I really don't know what it's about. but I heard the last two posts and one sounded better. It was a better performance. the production was better. SO I think he won that round.

and YES the vocals are a little muddy. not completely but I think they are. And the delivery was lazy. If someone slaps you in the face you can't just pull their hair... to use a different analogy. So I guess guess since you guys don't want to be objective about this you can get all pissy. I'm not picking a side here. just saying what I think about the audio... since this is a recording forum and all.

Ok, MrT.

The vocals aren't muddy at all. The beat is a downloaded mp3 and it's a bit muddy/distorted itself. So that's possibly what you hear. The vocals, nope... not muddy at all.

And if you honestly think his diss was stronger, wow...

I guess Cam beat Jay in that battle, even though Jay never responded....

MR.T,

Forget the audio quality. This is a battle, and quality is the last thing that should be critcised on. I wouldnt care if this battle was done on those cheap $20 pc mics. As long as I can hear whats being said, including delivery and performance than thats what a battle is all about. This isnt a sound quality production battle. This is a rap battle.

Change that was a nice track. I still cant believe your getting vocal quality on that little setup. Thats very nice. Do u spit in a booth/treated room? Do you tweak eq?

Thanks for making my point on the quality.

For anything I'm releasing, albums, whatever what not, I'll EQ for the track if needed. But for this, I didn't touch any effects except compression and reverb.

I have a booth. I've posted pictures of it before. The most important part of the chain is the soundcard... It made a world of difference in tracking quality.

Imma go do some research on that soundcard and do some price comparing! You think it would be a step up from my audiophile 2496 or are they on the same level? I'm upgrading my cables right now and i'm hoping that will do the trick, since i was using radio shack cables. When i switched from a no name xlr cable to the studio projects litz cable there was a huge difference.
