Ok here is my recording set up

AMD 64 3200+
Corsair 1 GB DDR400 Ram
Seagate 200GB 7200RPM
M-Audio 1010LT
Yamaha MG12/4 or 16/4

Which recording program is good for its price for a 5 piece hardcore band.. and that will be compatible with both soundcard and mixer... and the computer... and is also easy to work with...

two smaller hard drives is better than one huge one due to the way windows works.
search under my name for lots of tips. also make sure you over spec the power supply or get a decent one. some generic power supplies dont always perform to spec.
for multitrack software , i highly recommend what i use , you wont do better unless you spend 10 times the price. powertracks from pgmusic.com.
