Hey all,

If anyone has any good reference links, such as documents that explain

1. what ASIO drivers are
2. the difference between attack and gain
3. how to properly mix a song
4. what +4 / -10 are
5. is MIDI only for drumkits and synths?
6. what is latency dependent on?

etc. Those are just examples. From time to time I come across good resources... if you have any, share, share share!!

Looks like a job for a new project of mine..... (http://www.homerecording.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=118737&highlight=indexing+ideas).. Hopefully I'll have something working after exams. All I've done so far is figure out how to recusively list categories and parent categories. May not sound like much, but it means any category can have unlimited subcategories of unlimited levels.... Well unlimited until my host says I'm using too much mysql!

Send me some code or something once you have it ... I dunno much about databases but know plenty of HTML and some java ... it sounds like a great idea though!

Well, I'll be doing most of the code in php because it's really easy to connect to a database (as opposed to java which is a pain IMO). Also because all the scripting is done server side all the user sees is regular html files. I don't really know how it's all going to look or exactly how it will work yet, so I'll let you know once I have a bit more than what I've got
