hey, im kind've new to the whole recording thing. This is the first time i have had to record anything in fact.
i set up my amp and pedals and connected my amp to my computer using a wire connector.
I used cubase and tried out my guitar, but the sound goes really harsh and muddy then so quiet all in about 10 seconds, especially if im playing intensely.
i know home recordings arent best and mics are better etc but a mic isnt an option.
so could anyone help me fix this ?
is it the wire? if so how do i fix it.

Hope that was a line out from your amp!!! NEVER use a speaker output into a mic or line input. The current that drives a speaker will fry your input.

We need more info, like what soundcard/interface you are using, and what recording software too.
